You should be finished with your classes approximately one month prior to your due date. Pregnant with twins? Finish your classes at least two months prior to your due date.

What kind of insurance do we accept?
We accept Medicaid insurance but we do not accept any commercial insurances. Medicaid covers up to 12 hours of classes. Many insurance companies provide reimbursement for classes. Check with your insurance company to see what benefits they may offer for Childbirth, Breastfeeding, Infant Care, Pediatric CPR and Sibling Preparation classes.

Can I use the voucher for a free CPR class that I received from Blue Cross Blue Shield at Beginnings?
Unfortunately no, the voucher is only valid when you take your CPR class through the American Red Cross. Our classes are taught by an American Heart Association instructor.

How do I get a receipt?
On the registration form, check the appropriate box indicating you need a receipt. Your instructor will give it to you in class.

What is our refund policy?
A refund is available only to those who cancel two weeks prior to the first class or to the parents of babies born before the series begins.

How do I get a certificate of completion?
Certificates of Completion are distributed on the last night of class.

What should I bring to class?
This information will be in the packet sent to you once you register for classes. A small pillow and/or a blanket or yoga mat can be useful.

How large are our classes?
Classes are never more than 18 people.

Is class more than just breathing?
YES! So much more. For a list of some of the many topics we cover, click on our Programs link. Also check out the other classes we offer in addition to our Preparation for Childbirth class.

Who do I call if I won’t be in class or if I will be late to class?
Your instructor will distribute a class outline with her personal contact information on it on the first night of class. Please call her if you cannot attend class or if you have any questions.

What is your cancellation policy in the event of bad weather?
We will make every effort possible to speak with each family in person if we need to cancel class. In the event that we can’t contact the family directly, we will leave voice mail messages. Please check your messages if you have any concerns. We generally start making cancellation calls at approximately 3:00 PM.
